Asha Canady

Senior Manager, District Partnerships

Learning Commons

Asha works at the intersection of school systems, philanthropy, and product development to ensure education initiatives are grounded in real district needs and deliver durable impact. Over the past decade plus, she has led work as a school leader, program officer, and district partnership lead. Her experience includes building and scaling partnerships with public school systems, designing multi-million-dollar grant portfolios, and translating classroom and district realities into strategy, learning agendas, and product decisions. This work spans launching schools, leading district-facing pilots, sourcing high-value datasets, and stewarding partnerships that inform how education tools and infrastructure are built and adopted. She is particularly focused on bridging the gap between vision and implementation by aligning strategy, capital, and execution so that learning travels beyond individual projects and contributes to systems-level change. She brings a practitioner’s lens, strong operational judgment, and deep respect for the constraints districts navigate every day. Currently, she leads district partnerships at the Learning Commons (Chan Zuckerberg Initiative), working with large public school systems, researchers, and product teams to co-build and de-risk education tools at scale. She believes in the transformative power in dreaming beyond the constraints of our current constructs and reimagining education in pursuit of a more just world.
