Bill Hansen

William “Bill” Hansen is the President and CEO of Building Hope Holdings which is a national leader in supporting education and the financing and building of charter schools. In 2022, Bill was appointed to serve on the State Board of Education in the Commonwealth of Virginia by Governor Glenn Youngkin where he currently serves as the vice president of the board. Mr. Hansen is the Co-Founder and General Partner for Green Street Impact Partners which invests in innovative education solutions. Bill serves on the corporate boards of directors for: Shorelight Education, Global School Management (Pansophic Learning), Everspring, Perdoceo Education Corporation (NASDAQ:PRDO), and Academic Programs International (API). He also serves on the advisory boards for Centegix, Wayfinder, Parthenon Capital, Gauge Capital, and Vistria’s KLS advisory board. Bill serves on several nonprofit boards, including the Jackie Robinson Foundation, and Youth for Tomorrow. Bill previously served as the founding President and CEO of the Strada Education Network, USA Funds, Scantron Corporation, and the Education Finance Council. Mr. Hansen was twice unanimously confirmed by the U.S. Senate to key presidential appointments, as he served as the U.S. Deputy Secretary of Education for President George W. Bush, and earlier served as ED’s Assistant Secretary for Management and Budget and CFO.
