Dr. Bob Paxton currently serves as Vice President of Education Solutions at ACE. He earned his Ph.D. at the University of Texas in Community College Leadership. He has served in all ranks within the Community College and University settings, including college President. He has served in numerous advisory roles for colleges and entities in the U.S., Russia, the UAE, South America and Canada. He maintains strong relations with all sectors of Higher Education. He also serves as a commissioner for ABHES.
Prior to this, Dr. Paxton served in senior leadership roles with the University of Arizona Global and National American University. In these roles he worked with external constituents, oversaw online programming, worked with marketing, provided leadership to the graduate programs, and oversaw international relations. He worked with Kansas State University to create the Roueche Graduate Center and the Community College Leadership Program. He also assisted in the establishment of a National Community College Advisory Board.
Prior to his time at NAU Dr. Paxton served as President of Iowa Central Community College for over 13 years. During that time the college grew from 1,800 students to well over 7,000 students. Business and Industry training increased over 700% in 13 years.
He possesses a strong background in enrollment management; community relations and partnerships; and community college leadership. His passion is serving students and impacting their lives.
