Caitlin is the Vice President of Product and Programs at DataKind, a global nonprofit focused on using data, technology, and AI in the service of humanity. A technologist by training, Caitlin is focused on leading community-centered innovation through the creation, adoption, and support of software in the public interest. Caitlin is responsible for delivering DataKind's core offerings to ensure high quality, impactful data and AI interventions are created in partnership with social sector organizations. Under Caitlin’s leadership, DataKind creates high-impact products that are transformative to sectors across all 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). DataKind strives to release all products as Digital Public Goods - a designation for high quality, open source software that adhere to privacy, applicable laws, and help with the attainment of the SDGs. Caitlin is passionate about creating opportunities for social impact organizations to share lessons and learnings on data for impact across industries, geographies, and audiences. Previously, Caitlin worked as a research scientist at an edtech company and as a professor at NYU Tandon. She holds a BSIE and PhD from the University of Miami.
