Carlos Vazquez is the Founder & CEO of GoSprout, an end-to-end platform that helps schools, employers, and workforce systems launch and scale work-based learning and apprenticeship programs. Under his leadership, GoSprout has emerged as a national innovator in connecting learning to earning by streamlining compliance, skills progression, and wage reimbursement workflows—reducing administrative burden, increasing learner retention, and unlocking millions in funding opportunities for education and employer partners. Carlos began his career as a teacher in the South Bronx after being accepted into the NYC Teaching Fellows program. A first-generation college graduate who grew up in public housing, he credits exposure, mentorship, and workforce opportunities as life-changing forces. These experiences fuel his mission to redesign the systems that determine who gets access to economic mobility. Prior to founding GoSprout, Carlos led technology education and admissions initiatives, and trained educators and administrators across the country on digital learning and career pathway development. His work bridges K–12, higher education, and industry to strengthen regional talent pipelines. Today, GoSprout supports school districts, community colleges, enterprise employers, and workforce boards across multiple states. Early adopters include United Airlines, Volvo Trucks, Miami-Dade County Public Schools, CareerSource South Florida, and institutions in Illinois, Virginia, and Puerto Rico. The platform has delivered significant year-over-year revenue growth and is rapidly expanding as states invest in apprenticeship and earn-and-learn strategies. Carlos also serves as Executive Director of Miami EdTech, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit advancing computer science, AI literacy, and workforce initiatives for underrepresented students. Miami EdTech’s programs have been recognized by organizations including Google.org, Mission 44, United Way Miami, and Jobs for the Future. He leads efforts like Project SECURE (cybersecurity apprenticeship pathways) and Workforce. Miami (a regional talent portal supporting small businesses and career transitions). A frequent collaborator with state agencies, philanthropy, and employer coalitions, Carlos helps design policy-aligned apprenticeship models, modernize OJT reimbursement processes, and build employer engagement systems. His work has positioned GoSprout as the emerging system of record for work-based learning.
