Carol Kim

Carol Kim is the Vice President of Global Recruitment, Admissions and Financial Aid. An influential and innovative leader in the field, Dr. Kim oversees recruitment, admissions, and financial aid across NYU's global campuses of New York, Shanghai, and Abu Dhabi.Dr. Kim’s 25 years of experience feature transformative leadership and critical accomplishments in enrollment management, admissions, financial aid, international initiatives, global strategies, revenue generation, and partnership building at a wide range of dynamic and complex U.S.-based and global institutions, including several higher education institutions, a technology company, and an educational organization in Beijing, China. Six out of Dr. Kim’s last seven positions have been inaugural positions affording her a unique opportunity to share her bold leadership, tireless effort, and entrepreneurial spirit in order to create, restructure, and transform the respective organization.Dr. Kim is the vice chair of the board for the Wendy Hilliard Gymnastics Foundation, which provides athletic opportunities and educational support to underserved communities in Harlem and Detroit, and she also serves on the advisory board of Atlas Skilltech University in Mumbai, India. Dr. Kim received her bachelor's degree and a master’s degree from New York University and a doctoral degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
