Cecilia Marshall leads stewardship and cultivation of external partnerships at Partnership for Education Advancement (Ed Advancement), a non-profit that provides operations and technology driven solutions to Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). These solutions increase enrollment, retention rates, and lead to higher graduation rates. Cecilia has held senior roles at national non-profit and philanthropic organizations as a strategic leader. She is especially interested in the intersection of technology, education, and social mobility. At the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation, Cecilia was the director of strategic initiatives where she led an innovative portfolio of college access and success projects to improve outcomes for high achieving, low-income students. She also served as the Vice President of Program Development and Strategy at the Jackie Robinson Foundation where she responsible for strategic planning of the Foundation’s college scholarship program and the launch of JRF’s scaling initiative, JRF Impact. As managing director at the Asian and Pacific Islander American Scholarship Fund (APIASF) Cecilia oversaw the Gates/Millennium Scholarship program and strategic alliances. Cecilia Marshall serves on the Board of Directors of the Legal Defense Fund (LDF), America’s premier legal organization fighting for racial justice.
