
Colin Coggins is the General Manager of Chegg Skills, bestselling author of The Unsold Mindset (HarperCollins, 2023), and a professor at USC. At Chegg Skills, he leads strategy, commercialization, and full P&L, building scalable, technology-enabled solutions that help enterprises and individuals thrive in a rapidly evolving labor market. Under his leadership, the business has strengthened product–market fit, integrated emerging technologies, forged high-impact partnerships, and delivered measurable learner outcomes aligned to modern workforce demand. A seasoned operator with more than 20 years of experience across venture-backed startups, high-growth technology companies, and education, Colin has repeatedly scaled businesses from early validation to sustained, predictable revenue growth. Prior to Chegg Skills, he served as Chief Commercial Officer at Fabric, helping drive the company to a $1.5 billion valuation. He also held executive leadership roles at Chanje, Bitium (acquired by Google), and Mobile Roadie (acquired by Intellectsoft), guiding companies through critical growth and exit phases. Beyond operating, Colin is a recognized voice on durable skills, behavioral psychology, and leadership in the age of AI. Inspired by the course he has taught for 15 consecutive semesters at USC, his work explores the human skills that remain essential amid automation and technological change. He serves as the lead edtech mentor for Pharrell Williams’ Black Ambition and has been a longtime mentor and Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Techstars.
