Dan Macklin

Dan Macklin is the President of Summer, a leading Public Benefit Corp that advises families and individuals on college savings plans and student loan payments to reduce financial stress and maximize savings. Since its founding in 2017, Summer has partnered with over 1,000 cities, employers, and unions nationwide to help one million individuals save $1.9 billion. Dan was a co-founder of SoFi (Nasdaq: SOFI) where he was responsible for developing distribution channels including the creation of SoFi at Work, working with hundreds of employers. He is a Board Member of ValidMind, reimagining model risk management for financial institutions and a Venture Advisor for the AI Fund. Previously Dan was the CEO of Salary Finance Inc, an award-winning FinTech company providing socially-responsible employee benefits. Dan is a graduate of the University of Durham in England and the Stanford Graduate School of Business and has been featured in the media, including Bloomberg, CNBC, Forbes, Reuters, and the Wall Street Journal. He was included in Inc’s list of "25 Inspiring Entrepreneurs to Watch" and is a guest lecturer at Stanford University.
