Dan Rice is the President of the American University Kyiv (AUK) and the Co-President of Thayer Leadership at West Point. Both are top-tier educational organizations within their respective focus areas. AUK was founded in February 2022, the month of the full scale Russian invasion, and has survived and thrived in the midst of wartime Ukraine. AUK is powered by Arizona State University through the Cintana partnership, which has allowed it to scale quickly with best in class technology, curriculum, programs, content and faculty. Thayer Leadership is based on West Point New York, but conducts corporate leader development programs globally and is ranked in the Top 40 leader development companies globally. Thayer Leadership faculty all have advanced degrees, usually PhDs, and have also led in combat and in business. Dan is a West Point graduate, with an MBA from Kellogg/Northwestern, a Masters of Marketing from Medill/Northwestern, a Masters of Education from UPENN and has completed his doctoral classes at UPENN in Leadership. Dan is a decorated American combat veteran and served for nearly a year as the Special Advisor to Ukraine’s Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces prior to being appointed President American University Kyiv.
