
Dan Sommer is an entrepreneur, investor, and builder with a track record of launching and scaling high-impact businesses. He has founded nine companies and nonprofits, served as CEO five times, and led ventures through rapid growth, acquisition, and transformation. Today, Dan leads 10X Impact, a platform for investing in, scaling, and incubating mission-driven ventures. Through 10X, he partners with founders and leadership teams to help unlock growth, navigate complexity, and build organizations that matter. Dan is best known for founding Trilogy Education, which partnered with top universities to bridge the digital skills gap. Under his leadership, Trilogy grew to 50 university partners, 55 locations, and $150M+ in revenue—serving over 50,000 students before its acquisition in 2019. He previously served as President of Global Education at Zeta Global (NYSE: ZETA), leading 5X revenue growth, and as CEO of Study Interactive, expanding online learning to students in 153 countries. He also founded Caridan Marketing Labs, later acquired by Zeta. A graduate of Cornell (BS) and NYU (MS), Dan is deeply committed to entrepreneurial education and mentorship. He has coached dozens of founders, served as Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Wake Forest University, and continues to support emerging entrepreneurs through teaching, advisory work, and board service. In parallel, he supports mission-driven organizations working at the intersection of community, safety, and resilience.
