David Cisneros

David began his career in education as bilingual teacher. He was mentored into a leadership role and became an elementary school principal in Redlands USD.  Among his achievements was earning a California Distinguished School designation at Smiley ES and opening Highland Grove ES, a brand-new campus in 2005. He is passionate about ALL students experiencing success, supporting great teaching and guiding administrators to achieve their academic goals. With over 15 years of school leadership experience, he brings a level of understanding to administrators looking for support in new initiatives at both the site and district levels.

David earned his MA, Education at The Claremont Graduate University and his BA at University of California, Riverside.

David is a proud dad and recently promoted to grandfather. He makes his home in San Jose, California with his husband Jim and their bulldog, Blossom.  When not at his desk, you can find him at the local library, hiking or cycling.
