David Richards

David Richards, Ph.D., is the Executive Learning Strategist at Michigan Virtual. In this role, Dr. Richards provides strategic support to Michigan Virtual in the development of partnerships with K-12 school leaders. Dr. Richards’ K12 career roles included superintendent, high school principal, chief technology officer, and high school computer science teacher. He has contributed to multiple articles, books, podcasts, and panels on leadership and district transformation. In his role with Michigan Virtual, Dave also serves as the Executive Director of the Future of Learning Council (FLC) which is a collaborative of like-minded, visionary leaders working towards the transformation of the traditional learning model. The FLC has grown to 60+ school districts and charter schools from across Michigan who meet monthly workshopping design ideas for next generation learning models.
