Dipankar Chakraborty

Dipankar is an international trade development professional and has been appointed in the role with UNSW in August 2024. Based in New Delhi, Dipankar is responsible for leading UNSW’s South Asia operations and shaping the University’s South Asia Strategy through the execution of an in-country program and strategic relationship management. Prior to this, Dipankar was the Regional Director for University of Birmingham for 6 years and played a key role in establishing the University of Birmingham’s Joint Masters programme with IIT Madras and in forging partnerships with Indian Railways, Sports Authority of India, CII and TESCO. Prior to that, Dipankar worked at the British High Commission for 6 years and was Head of Trade for the Deputy High Commission in Chandigarh. Dipankar has completed MBA from the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), where he was the second rank holder, and PG Diploma in Business Law from West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences.
