Dorothy Carlson

Dorothy is currently a Technology and Innovation coach with Poway Unified School District where she provides embedded coaching and professional learning for TK-12 educators to make learning engaging for everyone. She has a particular passion for leveraging AI ethically and responsibly in education and is leading a district-wide Digital Citizenship initiative with safe, creative, and innovative AI use in education as a major component. Before becoming a coach, she taught English and Advancement Via Individual Education (AVID) for 20 years in the high school setting.
