Dr. Cory Epler

Dr. Cory Epler is a Partner with TNTP, a national non-profit working to create multiple pathways for young people to achieve academic, economic, and social mobility. He brings over 25 years of education experience to his work, including experience as a teacher, researcher, and state leader. Prior to joining TNTP, Dr. Epler was the Chief Academic Officer for the Nebraska Department of Education. He led the agency’s academic strategy with a focus on improving Tier 1 instruction for all students. He believes that expanding access to high-quality instructional materials, assessments, and interventions while ensuring teachers and leaders receive curriculum-based professional learning to successfully implement those resources can lead to the improvement of teaching and learning at scale. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree and Master’s Degree from Kansas State University, and he received his Ph.D. from Virginia Tech. Prior to beginning his work with the Nebraska Department of Education, Dr. Epler taught high school Agriscience for seven years in Arkansas City, Kansas.
