Dr. Miatheresa Pate

Dr. Miatheresa Pate is a bold and purpose-driven Chief Academic Officer with more than two decades of experience leading instructional improvement across New York City Public Schools. She is deeply committed to improving student outcomes by equipping and empowering educators, ensuring that every child has access to high-quality instruction and every teacher is supported to deliver it. Miatheresa is known for building coherent academic frameworks that clarify expectations, align professional learning, and strategically leverage data and targeted technology to strengthen teaching and learning at scale. She holds a BA in political science and government and an M.Ed., both from Virginia State University, and an Ed.D. from Russell Sage College.
