Dr. Michael Golden

Dr. Michael Golden, EdD, MBA, Vice Dean of Innovative Programs and Partnerships at Penn GSE, brings expertise in envisioning and implementing systems change at the convergence of business, technology, and education in established, emerging, and public sector environments. He has committed his career to education reform through innovation and impact. Dr. Golden served as Deputy Secretary of the Pennsylvania Department of Education, where he set strategy, policy, programs, and legislation for over two million students. Dr. Golden co-founded and led Educurious, a non-profit corporation that provides project-based courses and professional development services to empower and motivate marginalized young people through transformative learning experiences. Dr. Golden also held senior leadership positions at Pearson and Microsoft.
