Dr. Steve Hannon

Dr. Steve Hannon is the President and CEO of LENA, a national nonprofit focused on transforming children’s futures through early talk technology and data-driven programs. Steve’s work in the early childhood sector began a decade ago with his unusual pivot from a distinguished career in the aerospace industry. He now leads the LENA team’s mission to put early language research into action at scale, leveraging LENA’s unique talk pedometer technology. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois and a Master of Science and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from MIT.
