Drew Sidel
Head of North America Google Workspace and AI for Education
Drew began his career in education as a Fulbright Fellow in Spain, where he taught in a bilingual high school and spearheaded community service initiatives. He subsequently joined Teach for America in Fort Worth, Texas, serving as a dual-language elementary educator.
Since joining Google in 2014, Drew has dedicated his work to the intersection of education and technology. He initially focused on helping K12 school districts effectively deploy Google for Education solutions. Today, he leads a team that partners with K12 and higher education organizations across North America. His work centers on empowering students, faculty, and staff to leverage Google Workspace and AI tools, driving positive transformation in how they work and learn.
Outside of the office, Drew is passionate about travel, tennis, snowboarding, and hiking. An avid musician, he wrote and recorded three albums and toured nationally as a drummer. He also enjoys exploring the vibrant culture of his new home, Austin, TX.
