
Emily Amick is Chief Product Officer at PowerMyLearning, where she leads the vision and strategy for K–5 math products designed to strengthen instruction and elevate student thinking. Her work focuses on translating research on how students learn mathematics into practical, scalable tools that support both teachers and families. Emily began her career as a high school math teacher and instructional coach, experience that continues to shape her approach to product design. She brings a strong grounding in classroom practice, with particular expertise in student discourse, formative assessment, and building conceptual understanding alongside procedural skill. At PowerMyLearning, Emily has led the development of AI-enabled tools that analyze student thinking and provide actionable insights for teachers. Her work centers on making student ideas visible and usable, helping educators respond more effectively in the moment and over time. Prior to leading product strategy, Emily worked extensively with school systems across the country, supporting teachers and leaders in strengthening math instruction through professional learning, coaching, and data-informed planning. She is particularly interested in how technology can deepen, rather than replace, the human elements of teaching by amplifying student voice and supporting teacher decision-making.
