Emily Nelson

Dr. Nelson is in her 21st year in public education. As the principal of Harmony Elementary within Gwinnett County Public Schools, she works with all stakeholders to create a strong and supportive learning community that encourages every learner to be successful and future ready. She began her career teaching first grade and then served many years as a K-5 Literacy Coach, where she provided professional development to teachers. She served as Harmony's Assistant Principal for 11 years before beginning her role as principal.
