Ericka Corral

Ericka Corral-Yanez is the CTO and Co-founder of Code Blue AI, where they spearheaded the development of a AI powered software that detects early signs of stroke and alerts emergency services. Currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Computer Science at the University of Denver, Ericka's research focuses on mitigating bias in large language models and crafting ethical guidelines for their design and use. When they’re not coding or mentoring students as a teaching assistant, Ericka pours their energy into tech education as an Educational AI Content Developer and Community Manager with SureStart. Their ultimate mission is to make technology accessible, ensure it’s fair, and inspire us all to approach powerful tools like AI with thoughtful ethics.
