Fernando DeLeón is the Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer of Innovare, a Latinx and Black-led, education technology company, whose mission centers around equity and improving outcomes for students and communities in North America by empowering education leaders. He merges deep technical knowledge, data-driven strategic thinking, and business acumen with his passion for education equity to ensure every student can reach their potential. Before Innovare, Fernando worked at Google in the Bay Area in product development roles where he launched Google's consumer electronics products and the Google Fiber service. He also worked as a Management Consultant at Accenture in the U.S. and Brazil, where he transformed product development processes and teams for Fortune 100 companies. He holds a B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Michigan, is lean six sigma certified, is a certified Product Manager by Product School, and is a certified Software Engineer by Fullstack Academy. He's an Education Pioneers alumnus, has been featured in Forbes for his product leadership, and was recognized on the Negocios Now list of Latinos 40 Under 40 in 2020. He is fluent in Spanish, Portuguese, and English. He’s originally from Ciudad Juarez, Mexico and immigrated to the U.S. in 1994 with his single mother and older brother. Fernando likes to spend his free time traveling, learning new languages, playing sports, playing the ukulele, and eating his mom’s tasty tortillas de harina.
