Greg Hart

Greg Hart joined Coursera as President and CEO in February 2025, bringing over 25 years of leadership in technology-driven innovation and operational excellence. At Amazon, where he spent 23 years, Greg served as Technical Advisor to Jeff Bezos and led the development of Amazon Alexa/Echo from inception to launch and beyond, establishing it as a pioneering AI product that has been distributed on over 100 million devices. He also oversaw Prime Video’s global expansion, leading its entry into live sports and implementing live streaming technology on the platform. From 2020 to 2023, Greg was a key leader at Compass, the leading real estate brokerage in the US, where he served as Chief Product Officer and then Chief Operating Officer, helped the company go public, and led the development of its industry-leading technology platform. In December 2024, he joined the Bose Corporation Board. Greg holds a Bachelor of Arts from Williams College and is an inventor or co-inventor on 71 US patents.
