Heather King

Heather King is the Vice President of Transformation & Enablement for Walmart, a people-led, tech empowered retailer employing over 2 million associates across 19 countries. She began her career in management consulting, then moved into the energy industry and most recently the retail sector . Throughout her career, Heather has held leadership roles spanning Organizational Development, Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Leadership, Learning, and HR Digital Transformation. Heather joined Walmart in April 2020. In her first year with Walmart, Heather serves as the Senior Director of International Talent Management & Learning. Here, she defined the future capabilities of a retail leader and built a pipeline to ensure Walmart International’s continued success on the world stage. After that, she was given new responsibility as the Vice President of Walmart Academy, where she expanded and led the worlds’ largest global learning organization. Currently, Heather is focused on driving career opportunity at scale by building a connected talent ecosystem designed with a skills-first approach and fueled by data.Heather holds an MBA from the University of Oklahoma and a B.A. in Anthropology and Psychology from The University of New Mexico.
