Hilah Barbot

Head of Strategic Partnerships

Playlab

Hilah is the Head of Strategic Partnerships at Playlab, where she leads collaborations that bring AI literacy and custom AI solutions to educators and students worldwide. Previously, she spent four years at Amazon Future Engineer, Amazon’s philanthropic education team, where she worked to expand access to computer science education across the U.S., Europe, and India. Before that, Hilah served as the National Science, Technology, and Engineering Director at the KIPP Foundation, scaling science, computer science, and robotics education across 35 cities. She began her career at KIPP New Orleans through Teach For America, spending eight years as a science teacher, coach, and assistant school leader. During this time, she won two national teaching awards for excellence in the classroom. Hilah holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Virginia and a Master’s in Education Entrepreneurship from the University of Pennsylvania. When she’s not working, she’s probably chasing her two young children and two crazy pups in a park, or crushing her husband in Monopoly Deal.
