In 2010, I joined The Chronicle of Higher Education to help expand its international reporting, eventually becoming the international editor and then an assistant managing editor overseeing a variety of coverage areas. Before that, I was a reporter with The Chronicle of Philanthropy. I earned a bachelor’s degree from the Johns Hopkins University and a master’s degree from Columbia University. In 2014, my article “The Professor and the Prisoner” was a finalist for the Education Writers Association award for feature writing.
