
James Leo is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of NeoLens Corporation, a company developing breakthrough technology that enables technicians to fix anything, anytime, anywhere. NeoLens is currently being used by hundreds of mechanics in Ukraine, supporting thousands of troops on the frontlines. Previously, James served as an education investor and executive in several venture-backed technology startups. As COO of CaliberX, he was responsible for overseeing the formation of new registered investment vehicles and scaling the business to over 10,000 users and $50M in committed capital. At VIPKID, he served as the Chief of Staff while the business grew over 30x to one million paying customers and raised over $1 billion in funding. James began his career in the U.S. Army, leaving high school to serve after 9/11. He deployed to Iraq in 2003 as an infantryman at 17 and led a platoon of soldiers at 19 before commissioning as a Military Intelligence Officer. He graduated at the top of his classes at the US Army's intelligence school, Officer Candidate School, and Noncommissioned Officer Academy. James holds master's degrees from Stanford University (GSB | GSE) and studied Philosophy (Ethics, Law & Value Theory), Business, and Engineering at the University of Southern California where he graduated as a Renaissance Scholar.
