Janos Perczel is the Co-founder and CEO of Polygence, a project-based learning platform that connects high school students with PhD-level mentors for one-on-one, outcomes-driven learning beyond the classroom. Polygence works with tens of thousands of students worldwide and thousands of academic mentors across the United States. Previously, Janos was a research associate in the department of physics at Harvard. He holds a PhD in theoretical quantum physics from MIT, a master in applied mathematics from Cambridge, and a bachelor’s in physics and philosophy from the University of St Andrews. His research papers span metamaterial-based invisibility cloaks, cold-atom quantum information systems, and the optimization of AI foundation models for education.
