
Cotulla Education started as a visionary idea and today operates four workforce-focused brands: Aviation Institute of Maintenance, Tidewater Tech, Centura College, and American Lineman College. Across 21 campuses and more than 1,300 employees, the organization is focused on helping students move efficiently from training into careers. Jason is, at heart, a builder and designer. He specializes in creating platforms that connect student demand with education and career pathways—improving both access at the top of the funnel and outcomes on the back end. Prior to Cotulla, Jason led Red Ventures’ Higher Education marketplace, where he built and scaled a platform generating over 100 million annual sessions, supporting 300 partners and 3,000 programs, and becoming the second-largest organic generator of education leads after Google. Prior to Red Ventures, Jason built the corporate training business at Ancora Education, scaling it from 0 to $40 million in revenue. Earlier in his career, Jason served as Head of Learning Innovation & Product Development at the Association for Talent Development (ATD), where he led a global education business delivering 600+ programs across five continents, launched a 100+ course adaptive learning product line, and improved both cost structure and customer experience through redesigned delivery systems. Jason brings a unique blend of design thinking, technical depth, and operational leadership. His work spans product development, marketplace strategy, and organizational design, with a consistent focus on building systems that scale and improve outcomes. He has held leadership roles including Global Head of Learning Innovation, VP of Marketplace, Regional Vice President, and Private Equity Operating Executive—and is also a former founder and entrepreneur. Jason is a husband, father, and Honorary Admiral in the Nebraska State Navy.
