Jeanette Castellanos is Vice President of Learner Equity at Southern New Hampshire University (SNHU). In her role at SNHU, she leads programs and projects focused on increasing equity in college access and success. With a career that spans non-profit service organizations, philanthropy, and higher education, Jeanette is a seasoned leader who is particularly adept at building strategies rooted in community engagement and transformational partnership. Informed by her lived experiences as a Latina and first-generation college student, she leads with a passion for social justice and a commitment to life-long learning. Prior to joining SNHU, Jeanette served as CEO of Spark, a mentoring organization providing opportunities for career exploration. She has also served as Vice President of Community Impact at United Way of Metropolitan Chicago, overseeing a grant portfolio of over $20M and serving as the key architect and driver of the United Way Neighborhood Network Initiative – a collective impact model for advancing community-level change across the Chicago region. Additionally, Jeanette dedicated over ten years of her career to addressing issues of sexual violence; leading Illinois’ largest rape crisis program, which provided services to over 100,000 people each year. She studied Clinical Psychology at Case Western Reserve University and completed her undergraduate education at Binghamton University.
