She holds a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Southern University A&M College in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and earned her Master of Business Administration from Southern University with a concentration in E-Commerce accomplishing the two-year program in just 18 months. During her graduate studies, Jenesia’s natural aptitude for technology distinguished her among her peers, prompting a professor to encourage her transition into the Computer Science and Information Technology field. This mentorship led to a competitive graduate assistantship with a global Information Technology firm operating across North America and Africa, where she gained early exposure to international technology operations and strategic implementation. Jenesia went on to serve Fulton County of the state of Georgia, where she implemented and optimized technical strategies for the Community Development Office, supporting nonprofit organizations through modernized grant application and award systems. Her work improved operational efficiency, transparency, and accessibility for community-focused initiatives. She later joined KIPP Atlanta Schools as Manager of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia, where she has played a pivotal role in designing and deploying innovative technology systems that support teaching, learning, and operational excellence.
