
Jess Wang is the Chief Operating Officer of Presence, the leading provider of PreK–12 special education-related and mental health assessment and teletherapy services. Presence connects speech language pathologists, occupational therapists, and behavior and mental health specialists to schools nationwide. Its network of 2,000+ clinicians have supported 10,000+ schools, delivering more than 8 million teletherapy sessions to public, private, charter and virtual schools. Presence is backed by Spectrum Equity, TPG’s Rise Fund and Bain Capital Double Impact. Throughout her career, Jessica has focused on unlocking access to high-quality student services through education technology. She specializes in building and scaling nationwide networks that support tech-enabled service delivery, particularly at the intersection of national and state policy, in-person services, and digital infrastructure. As an operational leader, she integrates AI and emerging technologies into service models to strengthen human connection, improve efficiency, and expand reach for students and schools. Prior to joining Presence, Jessica held senior leadership roles at 2U, Inc., where she built and scaled large distributed teams, launched new tech-enabled service offerings, and led enterprise-wide operational transformation initiatives to improve performance and long-term sustainability. She is also an advisor to several education technology startups and works closely with founders and investors navigating growth, governance, and scale. Across her work, Jessica partners with executive teams and boards to align operational strategy with enterprise value creation, ensuring that innovation in education technology translates into measurable impact for students nationwide.
