For 30 years, Jim has worked in education to ensure that every student has access to high-quality learning experiences and that teachers have the tools they need to be successful. Jim joined HMH in 2017 as General Manager of Core Solutions, where he strengthened HMH’s core curriculum business. In 2025, he was named President of Core and Supplemental Solutions, leading a team building, selling, and implementing best-in-class K-12 curricula across English language arts, math, science and social studies. In addition, he leads HMH's Performance Suite, which won the 2025 CODiE's "Best Suite of Integrated/Connected Solutions" award for its integration of K–8 ELA and math instruction, assessment, and coaching. He has led teams at Achieve3000, Pearson, National Geographic, and HMH, always with a focus on how technology can enhance, not replace, great teaching. He serves on the board of directors of Amira Learning, an HMH partner company that combines AI and evidence-based instruction to accelerate student reading mastery. Jim is dedicated to creating solutions that support educators, improve student outcomes, and evolve with the changing needs of schools. With expertise in educational technology, product development, marketing, and strategy, he is committed to developing materials that are both rigorous and easy to implement, helping educators maximize instructional time and student engagement. He holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an MBA from NYU’s Stern School of Business. Jim lives in Boston with his wife and two high school age sons.
