John Rogers

John is an investor who loves to build, and he is committed to driving quality and outcomes in the education sector. John has 25+ years' experience as a founding partner for multiple private equity funds, developing investment and impact strategies in the education and healthcare sectors. As a founding partner of TPG’s Rise Fund, the world’s largest social impact fund with $25 billion in assets under management, John developed the fund’s global investment strategies in the education sector in personalized learning, special ed, mental health and career-focused credentials and degrees. Prior to TPG's Rise Fund, John developed and executed investment strategies for Bridges Ventures and Gryphon Investors. John helped numerous companies with visionary management teams. John led investments in and currently sits on the boards of directors of Discovery Education/ DreamBox Learning, InStride, Presence Learning, Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine, Idaho College of Osteopathic Medicine, Outcomes First Group and Teachers of Tomorrow. John also invested in Strayer Education, Sylvan Learning Systems, Concentra, Fresenius, Brightnow! Dental, Envision, Delta Career, Accelerated Rehab, EverFi and Renaissance Learning. John earned a doctorate from the Graduate School of Education at the University of Pennsylvania where his research focused on career outcomes for community college graduates. He also holds an MBA from Stanford University and a BA from Yale University.
