Jose Munoz

José Muñoz is a social entrepreneur with 30 years of experience of creating and transforming systems, from neighborhood to national, to have multigenerational positive impact. José has been a leader in the areas of youth, family and community development, out of school time, juvenile justice reform and education. He currently serves as the president for Education Commission of the States working with state leaders make better informed policy decisions that enhance education for everyone. José formerly served as the director for the Coalition for Community Schools growing the movement towards every school being a community school. His favorite past time is partnering with his wife as leaders for their church's marriage ministry.
