Julia is the CEO and Co-Founder of Uplimit, an AI learning platform helping companies equip their talent with the skills of tomorrow. She previously was a Partner at GSV Ventures, a venture capital firm investing in early-stage companies in education and the future of work where she invested and partnered with some of the most innovative entrepreneurs in edtech. Julia was one of the first leadership hires at Coursera, joining the company one month after the company launched as one of the first ten full time employees. She helped the company grow to over 40 million learners, and from pre-business model to $XXXM in revenue. Her most recent role at Coursera was Vice President of Enterprise, where she found and led Coursera's enterprise business growing it from concept to over 1400 companies and organizations, including over 60 Fortune 500 companies, and with on the ground operations in the US, Europe and India. In Coursera's earlier years, she led their consumer international growth and monetization effort, including launching Specializations, the product that has driven the majority of the company’s revenue. Before Coursera she managed the Google Apps for Education team, was a Program Director at Teach for America, and taught 4th grade in Alum Rock School District. Julia holds a BA from Pomona College, an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business, and an MA in education from Stanford University.
