Kaiz Alarakyia
Product Manager, DeepMind
Kaiz is the Product Manager for Google DeepMind's AI for Education Research team. His team's focus is to fine-tune Gemini for teaching and learning and to improve learning experiences on Google products like Search and YouTube. Kaiz and the DeepMind team, alongside Google Research and the Learning FA, launched LearnLM last year with the objective to transform education with the power of AI, and ultimately to improve learning outcomes for millions of students around the world.
Prior to Google, Kaiz was an Engagement Manager in McKinsey's Education practice and part of the Academic Affairs team at the University of Central Asia.
Kaiz holds a BESc in Chemical Engineering from Western University, a HBA from Ivey Business School, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. His current hobbies include chess and board games, playing and watching sports, and finding new areas to explore.
