Karim Meghji

Karim is the President and CEO of Code.org. He previously served as the Chief Product Officer, leading the global effort to bring AI and computer science into K-12 classrooms. His path was defined in high school, where a teacher helped him transform a struggle with calculus into a lifelong passion for technical problem-solving—a "lightbulb moment" that now fuels his mission to empower students everywhere. A seasoned executive with deep experience in scaling high-growth companies, Karim previously served as CPO and CTO at Remitly, guiding the organization through its 2021 IPO. With prior leadership roles at Booking.com and RealNetworks, and a Computer Science degree from San Jose State University, he is dedicated to the vision that teaching students how technology works gives them the agency to build the future.
