Rithm Project

Kashyap Rajesh is a Cameron Impact Scholar at Cornell University studying Information Science and Political Science with a minor in AI. For the past five years, he has led AI policy at Encode, the world's first and largest youth-powered movement for safe and responsible AI. There, he built a global chapter network spanning every inhabited continent, developed educational workshops and literacy programs that reached nearly 50,000 students, and advocated for precedent AI-safety legislation. Kashyap currently serves as a Youth Fellow for the Rithm Project, where he supports policy, research, and movement-building work around generative AI's impact on human connection. At Cornell, Kashyap researches AI-induced job disruption at the JEM Lab for Generative AI at Work and the intersection of AI and national security at the Cornell Brooks Tech Policy Institute. His work has been profiled in CNN, NYT, TIME Magazine, Chicago Tribune, NPR, and more.
