
Kevin Thames is an accomplished leader with over two decades of experience in sales and channel management within the technology industry. As Vice President of Americas Channel at Equinix, Kevin is responsible for driving all partner sales motions as part of the company's Global Channel organization. He joined Equinix in 2011, holding positions in Enterprise Sales before taking on leadership roles in Americas Channel. Kevin has been instrumental in shaping Equinix's Channel strategy, governance, and track record for continued growth. Under his leadership, partner connected sales have grown to represent over $1.5B in revenue and almost 30% of bookings, and more than 50% of new logos globally. Kevin also serves on the Board of Directors of the Equinix Foundation, which partners with organizations to advance digital inclusion, from providing access to technology and connectivity to developing the skills required for technology careers, helping to ensure a more accessible, equitable and sustainable future for communities around the world. Prior to joining Equinix, Kevin held various sales roles in the internet infrastructure space with BBN/Verizon, SunGard/FIS, SAVVIS/Lumen, and QTS. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Technology/Management from Wentworth Institute of Technology Management, where he studied Civil Engineering.
