Leyla Bravo is the Senior Director of Partnerships and Communications at the English Learners Success Forum, a national nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality and accessibility of K 12 instructional materials for English Learners. A former bilingual education teacher, elementary school principal, and Director of New Teacher Development, Leyla advocates for all students, particularly multilingual learners. As Senior Director of Partnerships and Communications, Leyla oversees strategic partnerships with content developers, states, districts, professional learning providers, and advocates nationwide. She supports sharing the stories of success when the right materials for English Learners reach teachers and students. Leyla has been featured in various news outlets, including the Miami New Times, The New York Times, and NPR, and has a TEDx Talk. She holds a Master of Education from National Louis University and a Bachelor of Arts in Government from Harvard College. As a refugee from Nicaragua, Leyla and her family have always understood education as the great equalizer. She seeks to bring equity and access to education to all students, especially English Learners like herself, her sisters, and her two beautiful bilingual daughters.
