Lisa S. Hutton, J.D.

Lisa Hutton is the Dean of the College of Law and Public Service (COLPS) at National University and has served in higher education since 2005. As the Dean of COLPS she is responsible for a portfolio of 16 academic programs, from associate to doctoral, in the wide-ranging fields of law, public administration, criminal justice, forensic sciences, homeland security, and emergency management. Prior to joining academia, she practiced law as a defense litigator, focusing in legal and medical malpractice, catastrophic torts, and employment law. Dean Hutton has served as both full and part time faculty, department chair, associate dean, dean, and interim provost. She currently sits on the Executive Board of Legal Education (AAfPE) and is the Regional VP for NU Northern California.
