Lorin is the managing director of Pearson's Virtual Learning division, where she is passionate about helping students reach their full potential, increasing access to education, and preparing learners to thrive in the future. She firmly believes in the power of education to transform lives, create opportunities, and foster a more equitable world.Before joining Pearson, Lorin led 2U's boot bamp division, partnering with over 50 universities to deliver workforce-focused programs in high-demand technical skills. Her career in edtech began at Kaplan, Inc., where she served as chief operating officer of the test prep division. She later became chief experience officer for Kaplan North America, where she drove digital innovation and launched new ventures.Lorin is also a board advisor for Hello Future, a nonprofit that empowers teen refugees with digital and entrepreneurial skills to create better futures. She and her husband, Andy, live in New York and have recently become empty nesters with three college-aged children.
