Luyen Chou is the CEO/founder of DeweyLearn, Inc., an AI education company. A long-time leader in the field of education technology, Luyen is a frequent speaker on topics including learning science and the impact of artificial intelligence on education. Prior to DeweyLearn, Luyen was Chief Learning Officer at 2U, and Chief Product Officer at Trilogy Education. Previously, Luyen served as Chief Product Officer at Pearson Education. Luyen serves in a variety of advisory roles, including with Bain Capital’s Double Impact fund and as a board member of Meteor Education, the leading provider of K-12 classroom learning environments. Luyen also serves on the boards of Learning.com, Pi-top, and on the advisory boards of New Classrooms and Arizona State University, where Luyen advises on educational uses of AI. Having started his career as a high school history teacher, Luyen maintains his connection with the classroom as the founder of several K-12 schools in New York City, including The School at Columbia University and Brooklyn Prospect Charter Schools. He holds an A.B. in Philosophy from Harvard College and an M.A. in Educational Leadership from Columbia University Teachers College.
