Mae Valdehueza

Mae Valdehueza is a sterile technician who is responsible for ensuring the safety and sterility of surgical instruments. Previously, for 8 years, she was a custodian at UC San Diego Health. In June 2024, Mae was selected — alongside nine of her colleagues — to participate in a career advancement program in partnership with Jewish Vocation Services Bay Area and UC San Diego Health. Through this initiative, Mae completed specialized training and successfully transitioned into her current role as a sterile technician.
