Marco Serrato

Marco Serrato is Vice President of Arizona State University’s Learning Enterprise, serving learners across the lifespan. He collaborates with academic units and faculty to expand professional, executive, and continuing education initiatives that advance ASU’s global impact.

He brings extensive international experience across industries and emerging technology platforms, having led initiatives in the United States, Latin America, Europe, Asia, and the MENA region. Marco is an emeritus board member and former chair of the International Consortium for University-Based Executive Education (UNICON) and has also served with UPCEA and RECLA.

Previously, he was associate provost at the University of Chicago and vice rector for continuing education at Tecnológico de Monterrey. He serves as professor of practice at ASU’s Thunderbird School of Global Management and has taught at the doctoral, master’s, and undergraduate levels. A visiting scholar at MIT, he has published more than 30 peer-reviewed papers and four books, with his work featured by organizations including the World Economic Forum and the United Nations.

Originally from Mexico and a first-generation college graduate, Marco holds dual PhDs in Industrial Engineering from Iowa State University and Tecnológico de Monterrey.
