
Marek Laco currently serves as Deputy Assistant Secretary at the U.S. Department of Labor’s Employment and Training Administration, where he leads national efforts on apprenticeship expansion and workforce investment. He most recently led workforce development policy as a professional staff member for the Committee on Education and the Workforce in the U.S. House of Representatives. Marek also worked for several members of Congress and spent time at the U.S. Department of Education during the first Trump Administration before serving as deputy chief of staff for Congresswoman Elise Stefanik. He began his career as a high school teacher and football coach in Jacksonville, Florida.
