Mark Atkinson is the Cofounder and Chief Executive Officer of Mursion, Inc., the nation’s leading upskilling platform for Fortune 1,000 professionals seeking to develop the skills necessary to thrive in high pressure work environments. Mursion delivers immersive AI simulations that enable users to practice and assess their skills as executive leaders, frontline service workers, sales professionals, K-12 educators, or healthcare provider. Mr. Atkinson is the Founder/CEO of TeachForward, LLC, a performance assessment and virtual coaching platform for K-12 educators. Prior to Mursion and TeachForward, Mr. Atkinson Cofounded and served as CEO of Teachscape Inc., a K-12 professional development organization that pioneered the video-based teacher observations and played a pivotal role in the Gates Foundation’s Measures of Effective Teaching Project. Mr Atkinson serves on the Board of Directors of the Oracle Education Foundation and the Danielson Group. Earlier in his career, Mr. Atkinson served as Senior Producer and Manager of New Markets for CBS News Productions and worked as an Emmy award winning News Producer for Peter Jennings Reporting, ABC News, where he produced a series of network news specials on U.S. foreign policy in Bosnia, Haiti and Iraq. He is a recipient of the Alfred I. DuPont Columbia University “Gold Baton” and an Emmy Award for his reporting in Bosnia. Mr. Atkinson is a graduate of Yale College.
