Mark Atkinson

Mark Atkinson is the Cofounder and Chief Executive Officer of Mursion, Inc., the nation’s leading upskilling platform for professionals who want to develop the skills necessary to thrive in high pressure work environments. Mursion has deployed its simulation platform to hundreds of Fortune 1,000 corporations and institutes of higher education. Prior to Mursion, Mr. Atkinson was founded TeachForward, LLC, a performance assessment and virtual coaching platform for K-12 educators. Mr. Atkinson also founded and served as CEO of Teachscape Inc., a K-12 professional development organization that pioneered the video-based teacher observations and played a pivotal role in the Gates Foundation’s Measures of Effective Teaching Project. Earlier in his career, Mr. Atkinson served as Senior Producer and Manager of New Markets for CBS News Productions and worked as an Emmy award winning News Producer for Peter Jennings Reporting, ABC News, where he produced a series of network specials on U.S. foreign policy in Bosnia, Haiti and Iraq. He is a recipient of the Alfred I. DuPont Columbia University “Gold Baton” and an Emmy Award for his reporting work in Bosnia, Mr. Atkinson is a graduate of Yale College.
